A pressure reducing valve helps to regulate water pressure on plumbing s. If water pressure is too high or is fluctuating it can affect the performance and lifespan of HVAC and hot water s. It can also impact on other products around the home that are fed by mains water. Usually fitted on the mains water inlet a PRV can lower incoming pressure and regulate it to give a consistent flow. Suitable for hot and cold water s and available with or without a gauge, the range also comes in various fitting sizes.

 

  • Contoured diaphragm

 

The membrane was designed with a special shape to give an accurate pressure regulation as a function of changes in the downstream pressure. This design feature also extends the valve life because the diaphragm is more resistant to pressure sudden changes and to wear.

 

  • Silent operation

 

The large chamber on the outlet side of the reducing valve creates a low flow speed zone. This is particularly effective in reducing noise generated by narrowing the width of the passage through which the water flows when the valve is reducing pressure.
